Arrival Sydney, New South Wales (NSW) Spend the day resting on the beach, shopping or walking around this amazing international city known for its Harbour and parks. Dinner tonight will be on your own. To avoid jet lag, drink lots of water and get to bed at a reasonable hour. English Proficiency testing will be performed this day at Bankstown Airport.
Free Day, Sydney, NSW Today is the “catch up and try to get adjusted from the jet lag” day. Sydney is a fabulous city to explore. Take the ferry from Darling Harbour over to the Quay. You will pass under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and have a great photo opportunity of both the Bridge and the Opera House in one shot. The ferry will also take you to Manly if you’re interested in seeing one of Sydney’s popular beaches. Take a lunch or enjoy one of the many outdoor cafes located along the beachfront.
Check Ride Day, Sydney, NSW Transfer for the day to Bankstown Airport to meet your plane and our crew. A CFI will be on hand to perform the check rides, sign off for your Australian licensing, and conduct the tour briefing. Later, a welcome dinner at Darling Harbour is planned.
Day 1, Taree , NSW Just a short hop from Sydney is the last remaining subtropical rainforest region in New South Wales. Taree , with its beaches, golf, gigantic Moreton Bay Fig trees, wineries and the second longest single drop waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere, is our stop for the day. Be sure to keep your eyes open for the endangered gray-headed flying fox and brush turkeys.
Day 2 and 3, Coff’s Harbour NSW Its Melbourne Cup Day , fly early in the morning, to ensure space around the tv later in the day to cheer on your favorite champion. Also visit the 36 foot banana, butterfly house and local wineries. For water buffs, be sure to take your camera to capture the frolicking southern Humpback whales while on a whale cruise. Try the fishing or test your putting skills on one of the Greg Norman signature golf courses.
Day 4, Coonamble , NSW Coonamble’s name derives from an Aboriginal term meaning "full of dirt". It is a peaceful country town, the gateway to the wetlands of the Macquarie Marshes and the rugged scenery of Warrumbungle National Park. There are opal fields to the north, and the Pilliga State Forest, with its stands of eucalyptus close by. It is also home to the largest rodeo in the Southern Hemisphere.
Day 5, Young , NSW Welcome to the Cherry Capital of Australia. Rich in history and character, Young is centrally located in the Hilltops wine and food region. The region is renowned for its fresh produce, particularly cherries and other stone fruit, and offers an authentic unhurried country experience. If you’re lucky, you can spot a platypus at dusk or dawn on Boorowa’s River Walk.
Day 6 Moruya , NSW Situated on the banks of the picturesque Moruya River, rests a country town with an easy, relaxed lifestyle. Black swans float gracefully in the lakes and rivers around Moruya and the airfield, located on the north of town, adjoins the beachfront. Flights to Moruya offer a slow and picturesque descent along the coastline.
Day 7 Sydney, NSW It is a brief flight from Moruya to Sydney, so a later departure today will allow for ample time to browse through Moruya's country markets in the center of town. Sample the local preserves, cheeses, breads and such, maybe find a piece of art or other handmade craft to remind you of your trip for years to come. This authentic colorful market is famous and draws both visitors and locals for miles around. In the afternoon, return to Sydney and the hotel on Darling Harbour. A Sydney Harbour dinner cruise, will allow you to say goodbye to your new friends while having that perfect spot for the photo opportunity of a lifetime: you with the Sydney Opera House as a backdrop.

Included in the tour: All aspects of the aircraft (Licensing, English Proficiency testing, check ride, fuel, loan of all charts, user fees, insurance, etc), all transfers after reaching the hotel and joining the group, all accommodation in 3.5 - 4 star facilities when possible, all meals, all daily city/sightseeing tours, guide pilot and more.

TERMS: A 10% deposit is required to hold your spot on the tour. All tours are provisional until we have sufficient bookings. The 10% deposit will be refunded if Australian Air Safaris is unable to operate the tour. Once we have sufficient bookings, for the tour to proceed, we will contact all participants and a payment of 25% of the tour cost is required. The balance of the tour is due 60 days prior to tour departure. A cancellation after the tour is confirmed will mean non refund of the deposit and 25% of the tour cost (per person).
